A Review of the SENSSE Anti-Ageing Facial Cleansing Brush and Exfoliator

Warning: There be affiliate links ahead, mateys.

I have many attributes. Quick wit, dry humour, ability to drink a bottle of wine in one sitting.

One thing that I cannot lay claim to is a youthful appearance. Sadly, almost four years of parenting has sorted that right out. Cheers, kids.

When given the chance to review the SENSSE Anti-Ageing Facial Cleansing Brush and Exfoliator I thought well, why not?

A Review of the SENSSE Anti-Ageing Facial Cleansing Brush and Exfoliator

SENSSE claim that the exfoliator is able to visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (of which I have many) and although I’m naturally sceptical and my skincare regime is generally limited to trying to remember to get last night’s make up off with a baby wipe before I leave the house, I figured it wasn’t going to make me more haggard and so decided to give it a go.

It arrived neatly packaged with a USB charging base and instructions.

I stuck it on charge and left it there for 18 hours as instructed. Apparently I should get 60 uses out of it before it needs re-charging.

The SENSSE Anti-Ageing Facial Cleansing Brush and Exfoliator has three settings/speeds depending on exactly how haggard your face is, I presume. You switch it on, add your regular cleanser and use a circular motion. The timer tells you when to switch area; 20 seconds for your forehead, cheeks (10 seconds each), nose, chin. I’m not convinced that the timer worked properly as it only seemed to do 3 cycles as opposed to five but this didn’t particularly bother me; I just set it to go again.

It’s water resistant and can be used in the bath or shower!

The instructions suggest that you should use the cleansing brush 2-3 times a week but when I get something new and exciting I tend to go a bit overboard so I used it morning and evening for the week.

After the first use, my skin didn’t feel different at all. Maybe a little tighter than normal so I put a bit of normal (cheap) moisturiser on and went to bed. I was really surprised the next morning that it had taken on a more dewy appearance than normal; I wasn’t expecting to notice a difference but it was as if I’d been for a spa facial. I imagine. I’ve never had one (small violins play here).

All in all I was very surprised. I didn’t really expect that it would work, but now I am converted. I’ll definitely try to keep using it regularly. I’m not sure I look any younger, per se, but my skin feels ‘bouncier’ if indeed that were a thing.

When a few more weeks have elapsed, I’ll come and update this, but currently I’m pleased with how it performs (and I’ve only been using it on the first setting).

My one big gripe would be that there were no spare brush heads included.

The packaging stipulates that you are to replace every three months and yet I couldn’t find these on sale anywhere! Therefore I wouldn’t buy the product as I have no idea how much these might cost and £59.99 (current price on Amazon) is steep for three months of use. If these were available at around £5 each then I think that this would be an excellent product.

I received the SENSSE Anti-Ageing Facial Cleansing Brush and Exfoliator free for review but all words are my own. You can check it out using the link below!
