Item gifted for review
With Christmas rapidly approaching, there’s no better time to be thinking about investing in something classy and attractive for the one you love. Jewellery is one gift that you can always rely on to make a good impression and one that you know will still be worn and appreciated years down the line – if you make a good selection!
With this in mind I was delighted to be given the opportunity to receive and review a lovely rose gold heart locket from Lovelox, which I know Sarah will love. Lovelox is a fairly new company that are based in London, but has a family heritage in jewellery that dates back to 1887 in Birmingham’s famous Jewellery Quarter. They are also a Fairmined authorised supplier of gold and silver, which is good to know.
The lovely Lovelox locket that we designed arrived a few days ago, and is absolutely beautiful so have a read on and let me know what you think…
Out Of The Box
It arrived safely and quickly, with a sturdy outer cardboard box and then an internal cardboard box and presentation case within.
Inside the presentation case you’ll find the standard black padding, which contrasts well against the white exterior, white logo and rose gold locket. The locket itself was pinned down to keep it safely in place so it looked its very best on opening. As you can see, it’s quite a striking look when you open it up.
Little Rose Gold Heart Locket
The locket itself is made of solid sterling silver with lovely 18 carat rose gold plating and comes in the shape of a heart. Measuring 13mm in width, 14mm in height and 5mm in depth it’s the perfect size as it’s clearly visible to onlookers but not too overpowering.
As you would expect from a locket, it can be opened up to reveal a pair of memorable photos inside, both of which can be selected from your own photo collection during the ordering process. Joshua helped pick the two photos for Sarah’s locket, which helps to explain why his lovely little face appears in both!
The locket can be opened using the small clasp that forms part of the heart-shaped design, and there is a long discreet hinge on the other side of the heart.
With this locket it’s not just the inside of the heart that can be personalised though, as you can choose up to 8 characters to be engraved on the rear of the locket itself.
As you can see, with the lovely colour, the delicate design and the ability to choose two photos and an engraving, this locket is pretty special and would make a lovely gift for the special someone in your life – or even for yourself!
This locket design is available in a choice of metals, as shown in this image from the Lovelox website.
My chosen locket has a base price of £65 at present, which covers the plain locket with a space for two photos inside and a standard length chain. For an extra £7 you can choose your engraving and then you can add your chosen photos for £9 for one of £13 for two. This particular design comes with two choices of chain, which covers all lengths from 16 to 24 inches, with the longer version adding an extra £7 to the price.
If for whatever reason this particular design of locket doesn’t quite do it for you, fear not – there are a total of 90 locket options available on the Lovelox website, so whether you are after rose gold, gold or a silver locket you are bound to find something you like on there somewhere!
We were really impressed with the ease of ordering our locket and even more impressed with the quality of the item itself. So if you’re looking for something special for someone special in your life you really can’t go too far wrong.
